My uncle gave me his mac book laptop and i can’t figure out how to get the camera to work. When i click on photo booth it comes up black with a camera and a dash through it. I guess the camera is disconnected but i don’t know how to re-connect it.

Well microsoft currently doesn’t have the official mac version of msn with webcam enabled chat.
I have previously downloaded amsn and it worked fine with my webcam (i use a 1 year old imac with one built in). The answer for the official messenger is no though amsn should work.
What mac are you using? and what webcam are you using?
does the webcam work with any other programs?
It could be the mac you are using or the webcam or both but if the webcam dosent work with any other programs (eg. IMOVIE) then the webcam could be unusable with your mac.

the drivers are prob not installed on it propally I would take your install disks that came with it and run them in some sourt of repair mode and it should work
